germany Bake the world Kit
It's cheaper than a plane Ticket, let's be honest.
And a whole lot tastier, too.
Traditional German baking has a distinct style that has heavily influenced baking around the world. Many of its traditional cookies like Lebkuchen, Zimsterne, and Pfeffernusse are heavy on the spices and were originally created for royalty. Spices, especially cinnamon, was reserved for the wealthier class because of their high costs and were typically eaten once a year during the holidays.
German baking uses a special blend of spices called lebkuchengewürz. The blend contains warm spices like cloves, anise, mace, cinnamon, and more, and gives a distinct flavor. It’s often paired with almonds to create a hearty and satisfying cookie. These cookies not only taste incredible, but they are fragrant enough to fill your home with the festive aromas of holiday cheer.

don't Just take our word for it...
"My husband and I went to France for our honeymoon and the food was incredible. We had madeleines for the first time in a little cafe outside our hotel that were to die for. I've been wanting to try making them so I got one of the kits for us to make for our anniversary. It was so much fun and everything came out so yummy, it was like we were back in Niece!"
"My wife and I spent a few years in Germany working for the USAF. We spent a few Christmas's there and went to all the little holiday markets. We don't have anything like that back in the states. She got us a kit to try making cookies at home. She's not a cook by any means but wow those cookies were good!"
"I'm a huge foodie and LOVE to try new things! A few of my besties wanted to do a cookie swap like our parents used to do for Christmas last year. We got the Mexican, Italian, American and British kits to try. Everything came out amazing!!! Especially the honey balls from Italy!! We had so much fun baking and trying everything. We're definitely doing it again this year."
"My wife is Lebanese and I'm American. We live in America so our kids don't get to see my wife's parents often. She got the Middle East kit for us to try making ma'amoul for Eid. I set up the computer so we could FaceTime her parents while we made the sweets. We all made ma'amoul together over the livestream. It was amazing! My wife said the cookies tasted just like the ones she had growing up."

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to bake to use the kit?
Nope! Bake the World kits were designed for bakers of all skill levels so you can enjoy amazing cookies whether it’s your first time baking or your millionth. Each recipe comes with a video tutorial and a text tutorial to help all learning styles.
Do I need any special equipment?
Most of the “special” equipment is included in the kit, but you will need some basic baking utensils that most at-home bakers have. Things like baking sheets, spatulas, spoons, and a hand mixer are required for most kits. The occasional food processor is recommended for chopping nuts, but can be substituted for a mortar and pestle or hand chopping if needed.
Help! I don’t have a stand mixer!
Because these kits were made for the at-home baker, all of the tutorials are shown without a stand mixer except for the United States of America kit. A hand mixer is required for many of the recipes and can be substituted even with the USA kit. The kits were consciously developed to include bakers of all skills and equipment levels.
For those that do have a stand mixer and prefer to use it, by all means, use the stand mixer instead!
Are Bake the World Kits Kid Friendly?
Bake the World kits were developed for adults 13+. However, these baking kits are a great way to get younger children involved in the baking process! Use these kits as a fun and interactive activity to teach children about a particular culture in a way they can digest. Pun intended!
What if I have dietary concerns? Can I still make them?
Many of the recipes in the kits include the use of nuts, wheat, and dairy. We do not recommend using these kits if you or someone in your household has a dietary concern. Each recipe was created for authenticity and is not recommended to be modified to fit alternative diets. For best results, we recommend following the directions as stated.
Do the kits contain food or the ingredients needed?
No, these kits do not contain the ingredients to make the recipes. The Germany baking kit includes a factory sealed package of Lebkuchen spice mix and German wafers that are necessary to make the recipes. The kits do not contain ingredients like flour, eggs, sugar, etc. and must be purchased by the kit maker. Not including the ingredients makes this kit perfect for buying early for gifts and reducing the likelihood of spoiling that saves you money and aggravation!
